It is a calicut university affliated postgraduate aided college located in historical land,sulthan bathery in wayanad district.The institution is owned and manged by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian church of the east.the hands behinds broughtup of this college include late Rev Fr.Mathai Noornal,late Sri M.C Pothen Manammel with Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Augen.
The college was upgraded in the year 1970 as a first grade college.The college was upgraded as a post graduate institution in the year 1984.
NAAC Acreditation:The college was accredited by National Assesment annd Accreditation Council,and awarded B plus grade.
